Our retreat location is 40 minutes from the city of Merida city and 20 minutes from the Port of “Progreso” at the km 25.5 of the road “Progreso-Telchac Puerto”.
Offering direct access to deserted miles of pristine white beach, this relaxed Eco-friendly mini-resort, set on the Yucatán Peninsula, is 11 kilometers from the archaeological ruins at Xcambo.
The area is surrounded by natural flora and fauna; a nearby Ceynote and a natural walking path bring an authentic experience to your stay with us. It is the newest and most beautiful mini resort on the Yucatan coast, bathed by the fresh sea breeze.

The Chakaura™ Mini Resort accommodations look like beach villas. From the moment you arrive, the first thing you see is the complex formed by towers with 24 rooms and eight junior suites.
The wooden stairs from outside of the towers communicate to the rooms above and give a picturesque look to the lodging center, where boats and other maritime ornaments adorn every corner of the gardens.
It is not strange to observe, for example, the flora that you normally see along the shore of the beach. Iguanas roam the property freely; a joy to see. The accommodation is about sustainability and this gem of a place is relaxing and conducive to earth whispering activities. The rooms are equipped with:

Join Michèle and Gilles/ Chakaura™ for delicious meals in the Yucatan. The meals at our events consist of healthy, fresh, local, mostly organic ingredients arranged into tasty dishes.
The culinary herbs and greens served are local and the fish caught by the local fisherman in Progreso area. The menu can have fish or be completely vegetarian. We recommend a low grain content high protein and mineral/vitamin nutritional choice for your meals.
All meals should be balanced so we encourage you to enjoy healthy and nutritious foods based on the teachings you will get for proper support of your nervous system and health.
You are what you eat and as Gilles says, “If it has an ingredient list, then don’t buy it! It has something that is not healthy for you!” Michèle’s and Gilles’ recipes and local favorites! Sustainable and wholesome.
Activities and food included are served at our Chakaura clinic Centre location. These are alcohol-free events. Balance of meals can be enjoyed at the Tecnobeach hotel restaurant, Kinuh restaurant, order a oven baked pizza or shuttle into any nearby restaurants (extra cost. not included in your package)
